Lasell gave me wonderful friends, a lot of laughter and challenging classes. I especially loved my science courses: human anatomy and physiology, chemistry, bacteriology and more. After graduating from Lasell in 1949, I went to work in the Office of the Chief of Staff for Hartford Hospital. It was a joy, and I felt well-qualified and prepared.
My late husband, Chuck, and I both established charitable gift annuities for our alma maters. At the time, we thought it would be a nice thing to do for our schools, but I have also found the quarterly income from the annuities great to have coming in every year. I would encourage anyone to consider creating a gift annuity at Lasell. It really benefits both the giver and the College.
Lasell opened many doors for me. I hope all Lasell alumni will remember what Lasell did for each of us. It gave us confidence, maturity, and a marketable skill set. I encourage others to join me in the Heritage Society by including a gift for Lasell in your will or creating a gift annuity to benefit future Lasell students.
